Dorothy Radke, Marketing & CommunicationsDorothy Radke addresses the marketing needs of the ITA, with a focus on building awareness and leveraging industry and government commitment to the Illinois technology industry. Working with Terry Howerton, Chairman, Fred Hoch, President, and the Board of Directors, the marketing plan creates the foundation for the programs and events offered by the ITA, with the ultimate consumer, the expanding technology industry of Illinois, in mind. Dorothy earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and a CPA, followed by a Masters of Management from Northwestern Kellogg Graduate School of Business in Marketing and Organizational Behavior. Dorothy worked at Baxter Healthcare, Helene Curtis, and Unilever, across a variety of job titles and functions, culminating as Category Director at Unilever. Dorothy comes to the ITA with experience in accounting, sales, and marketing and has volunteered on several charitable committees, raising over $10 million dollars, collectively.
LeAnne Tourtellotte, Vice PresidentLeAnne serves as the Vice President of the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) where she focuses on program development and strategic planning. She also facilitates member company commercialization and growth through assistance with sources of funding (both private and federal), and conducting due diligence for prospective investment opportunities. LeAnne’s considerable experience in intellectual property management, technology licensing, business development, and start-up company management equip her to provide practical assistance to ITA member companies as they develop and execute their own growth strategies. Prior to joining the ITA, LeAnne served as Vice President of the Illinois Technology Development Alliance, where she held a similar role. LeAnne’s experience in the start-up community came from her work as the chief operations officer (reporting directly to the board of directors) of biotech start-up company formed to commercialize technology developed by researchers at the University of Chicago. LeAnne’s move to private industry came after spending almost a decade in academic technology transfer and licensing, first as a project manager where she assisted faculty in their entrepreneurial pursuits, and then as the Associate Director of the University of Chicago’s office of technology commercialization (UChicagoTech). She holds masters degrees from both the University of Iowa (Anatomy and Cell Biology) and Washington University (MBA, Olin School of Business).
Sarah Habansky, Senior Director Programs and EventsSarah has been with the ITA for over four years in her current position. Prior to ITA, Sarah worked at the Executives’ Club of Chicago and has extensive experience running association programs and political campaigns. She began her career in Washington DC working on Capitol Hill. Sarah served locally on several primaries, organizing gatherings, coordinating communications, and ensuring the accurate delivery of the message presented. Sarah develops and implements ITA events, seminars and programs covering the breadth of offerings of the ITA. Overseeing the Roundtable process, consulting programs, networking events including the annual cityLIGHTS program, and partnering with sponsors and key partners to extend the awareness of the ITA, Sarah delivers the benefits of ITA membership. These programs and events drive the value of ITA Membership and create the opportunity for the progressive collaboration which is ITA's hallmark.
Mary Pat McGlynn, Manager, Member ServicesMary Pat McGlynn has been with the ITA for three years, relocating to Illinois from Cleveland, Ohio. Mary Pat earned her degree in Interpersonal Communications from Bowling Green University. Mary Pat administers new membership and renewal processes on behalf of the ITA. She is the primary contact to learn more about general membership benefits for companies of all sizes and from all backgrounds. Mary Pat works with the ITA staff to ensure member-companies requests, input, and needs are addressed.
Taylor Kinsella, Clubhouse Coordinator, TechNexusTaylor Kinsella joined TechNexus, an ITA Partnership, in March of 2010. Originally from the Starved Rock area, Taylor relocated to Chicago after completing her training for cosmetology. After five years in the beauty industry working as a hair dresser and front office person, Taylor decided to apply her organization skills in the business world. Taylor loves meeting the many people who come in and out of TechNexus daily and has learned a lot more about technology in her tenure. Taylor handles all things related to TechNexus - organizing conference rooms, managing tenant moves and needs, and generally ensuring a smooth operation.
