We are building a bridge from the many world-class universities in Illinois to the local industry!
TalentBridge is a new program, developed in tandem with the work done by the Talent Leadership Board, to generate awareness of the local technology industry and it's many opportunities with students and graduates from these great universities.
We are focusing on the students here - it's all about getting in front of them, talking to them about our great industry companies, and introducing them to each other. Because as we have found out in our many interactions with students through the Fall Challenge program, they simply don't know about us. That's all about to change!
Programs under development include:
- Providing speakers to student groups at each university.
- Building a subsidized internship program, to help growing companies in the are compete with industry leaders to attract top talent through an organized internship program.
- Hosting topical and fun events, like Hackathons, at each university, partnering with their CS/CE departments
- Inviting students to networking and educational events
- Bringing C-level execs of local tech companies to each university to share their experiences through their careers.
